Marks and Spencer Churros

Marks and Spencer Churros

Not quite in the same league as Agua Na Boca but if I can pick up churros from M&S Waterloo on my way home, chuck them in their cinnamon sugar and into the oven for 8 minutes and eat on my sofa while watching Mary Berry’s Best Home Cook, I’m a happy girl.

The time in the oven leaves more dough to the churro than a final fry would (the M&S website says they’re fried beforehand though) and they did then lack the crispy coating that I like, but they’re pretty impressive for a £4 dessert. The chocolate sauce was really good – quite dark and rich – though I’d have liked a pot twice as big! I’m definitely a triple-dipper when it comes to churros…
